Synvivo

SynVivo is a cell-based microfluidic organ-on-chip platform that provides a biologically realistic microenvironment for the real-time study of cellular behavior, drug delivery, and drug discovery. Their proprietary technology links the high-tech domains of microfluidics and bioengineering for broad applications in the life science arena. SynVivo proprietary microfluidic chips are capable of supporting a microvascular network that simulates the circulation inside any tissue with respect to flow, shear, and pressure. Human cells grown in SynVivo chips retain biological phenotypes that are similar to cells found in the tissues. SynVivo chips enable the use of cells from patient biopsies to replicate the tumor environment for testing the efficacy of drugs or drug combinations—thus providing a novel personalized medicine approach to cancer therapy.
